Resort Updates
April 23, 2021 / Our Stories
Our top priority remains the health and safety of our guests, our staff, and the local community. We are continuing to monitor the dynamic COVID-19 situation and provide a safe and healthy escape to nature. This post will be edited as the situation evolves.
We want to welcome you as soon as we can. Due to travel restrictions in B.C. effective April 23, 2021, people are not allowed to travel outside of their regional zone until May 25, 2021. To learn more about British Columbia’s travel restrictions, essential travel inclusions, and identify which health area you currently reside in visit www.gov.bc.ca/covidtravel.
The Health and safety of our guests and staff is our top priority. We encourage you to follow all recommendations and BC Travel Restrictions in effect.
During these unprecedented times, we are working hard to implement ever changing guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety and cleanliness of every aspect of our resort. All staff and guests are required to wear masks in common areas as per the official health orders. Halcyon Hot Springs Staff have undergone intensive Health and Safety training with safety, cleanliness and awareness in mind. We are currently open for limited, secluded bookings for essential reservations where we have adopted a no-touch check-in and service protocol.
We are able to provide you with a clean, safe and pleasant resort experience. Our teams are working diligently to stay on-top of the guidelines set out by Health Canada, BC’s ministry of health, Work Safe BC and Interior Health regarding COVID-19 protocols and we would like to share the following safe practices we have implemented for your peace of mind and enjoyment of our resort:
Pre Check-in screening: There will be a quick screening questionnaire sent to you 2 days before your scheduled arrival, please complete this once you have received it. Once you arrive at the resort, you will be required to complete a non-invasive health check by our Health and Safety team. This will involve a temperature check and standardized questionnaire. Once you have passed the screening process, you will be able to begin your check-in process at our front desk.
Accommodations: We have always upheld industry-leading cleanliness standards and have modified them to keep our team, guests and local communities healthy and safe during this global pandemic. Special attention is paid to disinfection and sanitizing frequent touch points and surfaces, including but not limited to: Light switches, door handles, furniture, counters, faucets, etc…
While our teams will not be entering your units during your stay, if there is an instance where it is necessary, we ensure to take every precaution by washing and sanitizing their hands, wearing a mask and carrying out any task as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Hot Springs: We are currently operating at a reduced capacity. The springs are only open to In-house guests. Physical distancing protocols are in place for all guests and staff. Our changerooms are closed at this time. One-way entrances and exits have been created to ensure spatial awareness while accessing our hot springs.
Common Areas: Frequent touch points are carefully and thoroughly sanitized often, following each guest use as well as on a regular schedule over and above what has been mandated by the province.
Halcyon is a small resort on a property of over 35 acres. All of our accommodations are self-contained, separate units and we have a touchless, no-contact check-in procedure. Halcyon Hot Springs will be operating at 50% capacity and below at this time. Hot Spring access will be from 9am to 7pm. We have been assured by Interior Health that all of our precautions are up to and beyond their standards. We have been working very closely with Interior Health on this and continuously ensuring that we meet and exceed all required precautions that are requested of us.
Halcyon Hot Springs Resort will be continuing with measures put into place at the onset of this outbreak, including additional cleaning procedures and screening policies. As a reminder, any guests who have been out of Canada in the last 14 days or have been ill during that time frame will unfortunately be restricted from booking.
Please contact our front desk for any further information at [email protected] (Due to the high volume of calls, we cannot guarantee we will be available by phone)
We appreciate your understanding during this unforeseen time as we continue to recalibrate our processes when needed to better serve you, our guest.
