From this end of the trip, you will enjoy a scenic and free ride on the Upper Arrow Lakes Ferry that connects Highway 23 on your way to Halcyon.
From Kelowna, Spokane and Vancouver
If you are driving from the south, we are just
32 kilometers north of Nakusp, or about:
280 kilometers from Kelowna;
425 kilometers from Spokane, WA;
785 kilometers from Vancouver.
You can find us by exiting on Highway 6 at Playmor Junction and driving through the incredible Slocan Valley, or by following Highway 6 from Vernon and taking the South Arrow Lakes Ferry at Needles.

Lower Arrow Lake Ferry
This ferry crosses Lower Arrow Lake, connecting Highway 6 between the communities of Fauquier and Needles, about 59 kilometres south of Nakusp.
Daily Schedule
Every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour from Fauquier, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Every 30 minutes at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour, from Needles, from 5:15 a.m. to 9:45p.m.
Shuttle service: 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Crossing time: Five minutes

Upper Arrow Lake Ferry
This ferry crosses Upper Arrow Lake on Highway 23, 49 kilometres south of the Trans Canada Highway at Revelstoke 23, traveling back and forth between Shelter Bay and Galena Bay.
Daily schedule:
Throughout the year, the M.V. Columbia sails from Shelter Bay on the hour, from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.; and from Galena Bay on the half hour, from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Crossing time: 20 minutes
