Ice Fishing on Summit Lake

For those looking to catch their dinner or just have some winter fun, head to Summit Lake Provincial Park, just south of Nakusp, and venture out onto the frozen ice to try and catch a big one. A popular local ice-fishing destination, Summit Lake is home to rainbow and cutthroat trout. Please make sure the ice is well frozen before going out on it, and according to provincial regulations, you’ll need a fishing permit before heading out.
